has been a valuable part of emergency services in Henderson County. We
provide a wide variety of
services to meet the needs
of an ever changing community.

Did You Know?
- Our department is made up of a combination of Part Time Employees who
provide coverage Monday through Friday and Volunteers who respond during the
evenings and weekends.
- The Rescue Squad is a separate organization from the Henderson County
EMS and the local fire departments. We work along with these agencies
filling a much needed role in the community.
- During 2005 the Rescue Squad responded to 474 calls for service, giving
back 3,599 hours of service to the citizens and visitors of Henderson
County.
- Rescue Squad members volunteered over 2100 hours during 2005 training
for emergencies.
- We operate off an annual budget that consists of donations from
individuals, businesses, Henderson County and the City of Hendersonville.
We are an IRS 501(c)(3) NC corporation, all donations are tax-deductible.
